AuditPrep is not an auditor and is not a certification body. It cannot make you SOC 2 compliant and it will never tell you that you are. What it does is make the evidence gathering — the part that eats a founder's January — repeatable, dated and sourced, so the auditor you do hire spends their time on the audit instead of on chasing you for files.
Where a collector cannot see something, it records unknown and says why. It never fills a gap with a guess, because an evidence vault that quietly invents a row is worse than no vault at all.
What it does
Scheduled collectors
Point a collector at a system and give it a cadence. It runs on its own, and every run is recorded — including the runs that failed and the ones that came back empty.
A dated, sourced vault
Every item records when it was collected, what collected it, where it came from, and a SHA-256 of exactly the bytes that were stored. An item with no source does not get filed.
One view for the auditor
A read-only link scoped to a date range, revocable in one click, that shows the auditor the same items you see with the same dates and the same sources.
What it does not do
- It does not assess you, score you, or issue a readiness percentage.
- It does not write your policies and then imply an auditor has accepted them.
- It does not connect to a system and infer what it cannot see.
- It is not a replacement for an audit firm. You will still hire one.
